OUR MISSION AND VISION
Stand up for justice (SUJ), is a grassroots movement , bringing diverse people together locally, nationally and internationally, to expose injustice and work towards progressive solutions. We engage in open dialogue and community activities that lead to a safer environment and more unity in our communities. We also use our Musical Talents and Visual Arts to educate, share our ideas and ideals.
Our mission is to create antiracist culture, dismantle systemic racism, promote diversity inclusion, provide progressive educational & social programs, while advocating for Human & Civil Rights.
Our vision is for a world where justice is unbiased, where all people are treated fairly, with equity, equality and when necessary, empathy.
Purpose
Rooted in the teachings of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Stand Up For Justice was created to build a Beloved Community founded upon the pillars of equity, empathy, education, and spiritual resilience.
Through our dynamic network of programs, we foster progressive social change while improving housing, healthcare, education, economics, and the quality of life for Black, Indigenous, and marginalized populations worldwide.
